How To

How to make the perfect omelet

Omelets have always been a favourite food to eat for breakfast. How can you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

When making omelets, it is important to be aware that eggs can be temperamental. The eggs must be fresh from an organic source and kept at room temperature until they are ready to be cooked. If you don't keep them cold enough, the whites won't form properly, and the yolks will break down too much and become runny. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

The egg can burn if it is placed directly on the stovetop. Instead, put the egg in the microwave for 10 seconds before putting it into the pan. The heat from the microwave cooks the egg just enough without overcooking it.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. Mix eggs well together. To do this, take the bowl from the mixer and flip it upside-down. Then shake the bowl vigorously. This will whip the air around the bowl and mix the egg well.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. Pour half the milk into the beaten egg mixture and then fold in the eggs. Do not be alarmed if there are still egg streaks visible. Once the omelet flips, these streaks will disappear.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. When the oil is hot enough, add 1/4 cup butter to the pan. Stir it around until the butter covers the entire pan. Carefully open the pan's lid and add salt to the pan. A pinch of salt will help prevent the omelet from sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet by using a spatula. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Serve immediately after removing the omelet from its pan.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
