How to make a perfect omelet

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. How can you make them perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

First, eggs can be very temperamental ingredients for making omelets. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. The yolks and whites will not form properly if they aren't kept cold enough. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate the egg before adding it to the pan. Because this could cause your omelet to become curdled, you don't want any yolk to be mixed with any white.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, put the egg in the microwave for 10 seconds before putting it into the pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. To do this, grab the bowl of the mixer and turn it upside down. Now shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. When the oil is hot enough, add 1/4 cup butter to the pan. Stir it around until the butter covers the entire pan. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best when you use whole milk.
